Base Salary

$102k - $147k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the public and private cloud PaaS layer using software and infrastructure technologies.
  • Write clean, maintainable software and infrastructure scripts using languages such as Bash, Python, and PowerShell.
  • Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD automation pipelines for large engineering teams.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software across cloud infrastructure in a DevOps operating model.
  • Contribute to architecture and design reviews for scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems.
  • Review code, provide technical feedback, and uphold standards for quality, maintainability, observability, and testing.
  • Automate and participate in testing using tools such as JUnit and Selenium.
  • Monitor service health, investigate incidents, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement preventative improvements.
  • Manage execution and delivery of complex features and projects, including priorities and deadlines.
  • Document features, enhancements, fixes, and training materials while partnering with internal Agile development teams.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of software engineering experience.
  • Deep expertise in Python or Java development.
  • At least 1 year of GitOps or DevOps experience, or experience building infrastructure-as-code pipelines or processes for large teams.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and public cloud deployment platforms.
  • Experience designing and administering CI/CD pipelines.
  • A proven record of leading and delivering large-scale, complex software projects.
  • Proficiency with Azure, AWS, GCP, and version control systems such as GitHub.
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Preferred: a master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • Preferred: experience with GitHub Actions, Argo CD, Terraform, and Ansible for GitOps, CI/CD automation, Kubernetes deployment, and release orchestration.
  • Preferred: experience with software architecture, design patterns, telemetry and observability, DNS operations, service-to-service routing, API gateways, TLS/mTLS, Kubernetes operators and networking, and service mesh architectures.
  • The ability to obtain an appropriate U.S. government security clearance is required; U.S. citizenship and existing or previous clearance are preferred.
