Base Salary
$61k - $104k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain middle-layer services and APIs for a mobile services platform.
- Ensure high performance and functionality across integrations between applications, databases, and web or mobile systems.
- Draft and review architectural diagrams, specifications, business requirements, and design documents.
- Collaborate with PMO, Development, Product Management, Business and Technical Operations, Systems Engineering, Infrastructure, Networks, and Architecture teams.
- Work with existing and next-generation technology platforms, including Java, C++, Linux, Unix, open-source platforms, and SOA.
- Develop an understanding of financial products, services, processes, and organizational structures to identify effective solutions.
- Mentor other software developers.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of software development experience.
- Proficiency in software development principles, design patterns, code structure, programming languages, continuous integration, and deployments.
- Hands-on experience with Core Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring Integration, TypeScript, Node.js, Kafka, and ActiveMQ.
- Experience with Java server technologies including J2EE and servlets.
- Experience with Tomcat, Maven, and other Java development tools.
- Hands-on experience developing APIs and web services.
- Proficiency with at least one database such as Oracle, DB2, or Sybase.
- Experience with Service-Oriented Architecture.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming design patterns and methodologies.
- Good understanding of web services protocols and API design for extensibility and portability.
