Base Salary
$123k - $209k/yr
Responsibilities
- Drive technical designs for Java and Spring Boot services, APIs, integrations, and microservices.
- Develop scalable and secure backend code and integrate services with PostgreSQL, Redis, ActiveMQ, and Temporal.
- Provide estimates, guide sprint planning, assess feature-versus-technical-debt trade-offs, and set technical direction.
- Assign and unblock work, conduct code reviews, mentor engineers, and coordinate team delivery.
- Ensure unit, component, and appflow test coverage, documentation, quality releases, and production troubleshooting.
- Coordinate cross-team dependencies, release deployments, tenant configurations, environment setup, and post-mortem reviews.
- Guide adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices and tools.
- Communicate technical status, risks, and project dependencies to stakeholders.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software development experience with deep backend expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs or microservices.
- Experience designing and integrating large-scale service-oriented architectures.
- Experience adopting or guiding teams in AI-driven development workflows.
- Experience with several of Java, Spring Boot, Micronaut, Temporal, ActiveMQ, PostgreSQL, Redis, Kubernetes, AWS, Jenkins, Git, and ReactJS.
- Familiarity with event-driven systems and data stores including ActiveMQ, Temporal, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
- Some frontend experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, or React for end-to-end coordination.
- Experience leading engineering teams or serving as a Tech Lead, including mentoring, code reviews, and technical strategy.
- Strong understanding of performance tuning, scalability, and distributed-system challenges.
- Comfort working in agile environments with Jira, Confluence, and Git.
