Responsibilities
- Drive mid-size feature application design and development efforts to completion and support larger-scale initiatives.
- Serve as a development lead and key decision-maker in application design discussions.
- Write, analyze, troubleshoot, and improve application code, performance, defects, and system design.
- Define and assess technical requirements, data structures, algorithms, runtime properties, dependencies, and operational needs.
- Help develop coding, testing, debugging, implementation, and software quality standards aligned with the architecture blueprint.
- Coordinate full development lifecycle activities, including test plan execution, delivery dependencies, risk tracking, escalation management, and issue mitigation.
- Partner with technology and user-experience vendors on implementation plans, roadmaps, and development acceleration opportunities.
- Optimize development, delivery, architecture, production operations, and cross-team processes.
- Share technical knowledge through engineering forums, training, and other team learning activities.
- Drive compliance with applicable laws, regulations, company policies, and control requirements.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience with Java, MongoDB, Oracle, OpenShift, Kafka integration, and distributed computing; Pega experience is preferred.
- 5–8 years of experience in a product development or product management environment.
- Experience delivering with an agile methodology and leading infrastructure programs.
- Experience influencing large-scale culture change and working with third-party service providers.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, written communication, oral communication, and diplomacy skills.
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience.
