Base Salary
$165k - $224k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate backend services, data layers, and customer-facing navigation experiences across app, mobile web, and desktop.
- Own features and components end to end, including data models, services, and rendered experiences.
- Optimize distributed systems for scale, latency, performance, and resilience.
- Ship code through continuous deployment pipelines and participate in operational ownership.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and partner teams to turn ambiguous problems into concrete designs.
- Raise engineering standards through code reviews, operational excellence, mentoring, and architecture improvements.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- 1+ year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- 1+ year designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications, tools, systems, or services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- 1+ year of object-oriented design experience.
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
