Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and improve scalable, maintainable, and high-performing software solutions.
  • Deliver full-stack applications using backend, frontend, database, messaging, and platform technologies.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define requirements and solution strategies.
  • Participate in code reviews and promote code quality, knowledge sharing, and technical excellence.
  • Implement secure coding practices and effective unit testing to improve software reliability and protect sensitive data.
  • Contribute to platform modernization, technology product development, risk management, and organizational controls.
  • Communicate complex technical information and influence stakeholders to achieve business outcomes.

Requirements

  • Experience with backend technologies including Java, Python, Spring Boot, JPA, Hibernate, JUnit, REST, microservices, and test-driven development.
  • Experience with frontend technologies including React, Redux, JavaScript, and HTML.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including Oracle and MongoDB.
  • Experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, GitLab, JIRA, SonarQube, Prisma, Wiz, NPM, Maven, or Gradle.
  • Working knowledge of message queues such as Apache Kafka or IBM MQ.
  • Computer Science degree or equivalent understanding of Computer Science, object-oriented design, and data structures.
  • Experience working in an IT project environment, preferably in banking or financial services, within an Agile model.
  • Ability to apply secure coding, unit testing, collaboration, risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, and strategic thinking.
