Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and improve scalable, maintainable, and high-performance software solutions.
- Deliver full-stack applications using backend and frontend technologies aligned with business requirements.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to define requirements and solution strategies.
- Participate in code reviews and promote code quality, knowledge sharing, and technical excellence.
- Apply secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities and protect sensitive data.
- Implement unit testing practices to improve code design, readability, and reliability.
- Contribute to platform modernization, technology communities, risk management, controls, and operational effectiveness.
- Guide team members or lead a team performing complex tasks, depending on the position’s leadership structure.
Requirements
- Experience with Java, Python, SpringBoot, JPA, Hibernate, Junit, REST, microservices, and test-driven development.
- Experience with React JS, Redux, JavaScript, and HTML.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including Oracle and Mongo.
- Experience with PaaS, OpenShift, Kubernetes, GitLab, JIRA, SonarQube, Prisma, and Wiz.
- Experience with NPM and Maven or Gradle.
- Working knowledge of message queues such as Apache Kafka and IBM MQ.
- Computer Science degree or equivalent understanding of Computer Science, object-oriented design, and data structures.
- Experience working in an IT project environment, preferably in banking or financial services, within an Agile model.
- Knowledge of secure coding, unit testing, code reviews, risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, and digital and technology.
