Responsibilities
- Build, extend, and maintain integrations across ERPs, cloud data warehouses, object storage, and custom data sources.
- Design and orchestrate near-real-time synchronization for millions of records per customer.
- Develop resilient connectors for third-party APIs, including handling undocumented behaviors, rate limits, pagination, and authentication.
- Create round-trip integration tests covering complete read-update-write lifecycles.
- Validate, cross-match, normalize, and upsert data while preventing data loss and business-impacting errors.
- Build monitoring, structured logging, alerting, sync-run tracking, failure attribution, and auditability.
- Own customer integrations end to end from scoping through shipping and ongoing operations.
- Evolve the integration architecture so new data sources can be connected through configuration.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of hands-on production experience building and shipping Python data pipelines and integrations.
- Deep experience integrating third-party systems through REST, SOAP, and query-language APIs, including OAuth, rate limiting, pagination, and undocumented API behavior.
- Strong proficiency with Python backend technologies including FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, and Pydantic.
- Advanced SQL skills, including high-performance queries and bulk upserts at scale.
- Experience designing idempotent, re-runnable pipelines with fetch, validate, normalize, and upsert patterns.
- Experience building safe write-path integrations with dry runs, failure capture, and full auditability.
- Experience building operable systems with structured logging, sync-run tracking, alerting integrations, and failure attribution.
- Experience with Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, or similar cloud data warehouse platforms.
- Experience with background task orchestration frameworks such as Temporal or Hatchet.
- Comfort working directly with enterprise customers and IT teams in an end-to-end ownership model.
- Preferred experience with NetSuite APIs, AWS services including S3 and FTP, unstructured data ingestion, or legacy ERP integrations.
