Responsibilities
- Own solution architecture for large-scale, secure, resilient, API-driven enterprise applications.
- Design and implement scalable microservices architectures aligned with business and technology objectives.
- Lead high-level design, architecture definition, technology selection, and solution design activities.
- Define architecture patterns, technical standards, best practices, reusable components, and solution blueprints.
- Ensure solutions meet scalability, availability, resilience, security, performance, maintainability, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead architecture discussions across product, engineering, security, infrastructure, business, and Agile teams.
- Review solution designs and provide architectural guidance throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Identify architectural risks, technical dependencies, security gaps, and scalability challenges, and define mitigation strategies.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to architects, senior engineers, and development teams.
- Manage senior stakeholders and communicate complex technical concepts and architecture decisions.
- Drive adoption of reusable architecture patterns and engineering best practices across projects and teams.
- Contribute to modernization initiatives involving APIs, microservices, cloud-native technologies, and enterprise platforms.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and support AI/GenAI use cases involving LLMs, RAG, vector databases, MCP, and AI agents.
- Provide architectural support during implementation, testing, deployment, and production stabilization.
Requirements
- 11+ years of experience, including relevant solution architecture or closely related architecture experience.
- Strong hands-on experience designing and architecting microservices-based applications.
- Experience designing and architecting at least three large-scale, secure, resilient, API-driven applications.
- Strong expertise in high-level design, enterprise architecture patterns, and scalable solution design.
- Strong understanding of API-driven architectures, distributed systems, microservices, integration patterns, and enterprise application architecture.
- Experience defining architecture standards, best practices, technical guidelines, and reusable solution blueprints.
- Experience working within Agile squads or tribes and collaborating with cross-functional product and engineering teams.
- Strong banking domain experience, with exposure to banking, wealth management, lending, asset management, and accounting.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, secure application architecture, security architecture concepts, and secure-by-design practices.
- Knowledge of PCI-DSS, GDPR, and UAE regulatory requirements.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, presentation, influencing, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor architects and engineering teams and provide technical leadership.
- Desirable exposure to offensive and defensive security concepts, AI/GenAI, LLMs, RAG, vector databases, MCP, AI agents, and emerging technologies.
- Familiarity with GitHub Copilot and Claude Code is an advantage.
- A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- Security Architect experience or exposure is an added advantage.
