Responsibilities
- Define and own solution architecture for large-scale, secure, resilient, API-driven enterprise applications.
- Design and implement scalable microservices architectures aligned with business and technology objectives.
- Lead high-level design, architecture definition, technology selection, and solution design activities.
- Define architecture patterns, technical standards, best practices, reusable components, and architecture blueprints.
- Ensure solutions meet scalability, availability, resilience, security, performance, maintainability, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead architecture discussions across product, engineering, security, infrastructure, business, and Agile teams.
- Review solution designs and provide architectural guidance throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Identify architectural risks, technical dependencies, security gaps, and scalability challenges and define mitigation strategies.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to architects, senior engineers, and development teams.
- Drive adoption of reusable architecture patterns and engineering best practices across projects and teams.
- Contribute to modernization initiatives involving APIs, microservices, cloud-native technologies, and enterprise platforms.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, AI-assisted development tools, and AI/GenAI use cases for enterprise adoption.
- Provide architectural support during implementation, testing, deployment, and production stabilization.
Requirements
- 11+ years of experience.
- Relevant experience in solution architecture or a closely related architecture role.
- Strong hands-on experience designing and architecting microservices-based applications.
- Experience designing at least three large-scale, secure, resilient, API-driven applications.
- Strong expertise in high-level design, enterprise architecture patterns, scalable solution design, distributed systems, integration patterns, and enterprise application architecture.
- Experience defining architecture standards, best practices, technical guidelines, and reusable solution blueprints.
- Strong banking domain experience, including exposure to banking, wealth management, lending, asset management, or accounting.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, secure application architecture, and secure-by-design practices.
- Knowledge of PCI-DSS, GDPR, and UAE regulatory requirements.
- Experience working with Agile squads or tribes and cross-functional product and engineering teams.
- Ability to mentor architects and engineering teams and provide technical leadership.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, presentation, influencing, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Exposure to offensive and defensive security concepts is desirable.
- Exposure to AI/GenAI, LLMs, RAG, vector databases, MCP, and AI agents is desirable.
- Familiarity with GitHub Copilot and Claude Code is advantageous.
- Security Architect experience or exposure is advantageous.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
