Responsibilities
- Partner with corporate sales teams to nurture prospects and support customers.
- Conduct discovery, qualification, technical demonstrations, and proof-of-value workshops.
- Answer Postman technical questions and address customer objections with solutions or workarounds.
- Create reusable collateral explaining Postman adoption and API-first practices.
- Understand customer workflows and advise on API-first development practices.
- Create proof-of-concept integrations, tooling, and workflows for prospective customers.
- Maintain customer sandbox environments and product best practices.
- Share customer feedback, advocate for customers, and act as a technical intermediary between sales and internal teams.
- Stay current on the API market, competitive landscape, trends, and customer challenges.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of corporate sales or solutions engineering experience.
- At least 3 years of software development experience.
- At least 3 years of API and data platform experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or relevant work experience.
- Customer-facing experience and the ability to engage developers, QA professionals, product teams, and engineering leaders.
- Strong understanding of APIs and experience producing and consuming APIs across different domains.
- Knowledge of modern development methodologies, DevOps, software development life cycles, SaaS sales processes, and common cloud security concerns.
- Experience executing sales strategies and using methodologies such as MEDDIC, Challenger Sale, and Command of the Message.
- Familiarity with developer tooling, Git, monitoring services, microservices, containers, and cloud computing services.
- Ability to travel up to 25% and strong communication, listening, presentation, verbal, and written skills.
