Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, implement, maintain, and provide escalated support for complex software solutions.
  • Develop customized code, integrations, configurations, and other solutions according to Product Owner acceptance criteria.
  • Perform unit testing and support integration and functional testing.
  • Provide warranty support and knowledge transfer to production support teams.
  • Deliver high-quality working software and automate manual or reusable tasks.
  • Apply continuous engineering practices, software lifecycle standards, and industry best practices.
  • Analyze complex problems and devise or modify procedures within system and equipment constraints.
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams and provide direction and mentorship to less experienced teammates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and six to ten years of experience, or equivalent education and software engineering training or experience.
  • In-depth information systems knowledge and the ability to identify, apply, and implement best practices.
  • Ability to understand business processes, plan and manage projects, solve complex problems, and communicate difficult or sensitive information.
  • Preferred full-stack development experience with Java, SQL, REST, XML/XSLT, JSON, REST/SOAP, API management, and the Spring suite.
  • Preferred experience with OpenShift, Docker, containers, configuration management, IBM WebSphere, WebLogic, Tomcat, and caching technologies.
  • Preferred experience with JUnit, Dynatrace, Splunk, Gradle, Git, Maven, Jenkins, test automation, build tools, application monitoring, and CI/CD processes.
  • Preferred relational database design and development experience with SQL, stored procedures, data modeling, DB2, and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Preferred experience with MQ, JMS, Kafka, Linux, Windows, AIX, and Shell or Bash scripting.
  • IBM FTM product suite or payment processing experience and financial services industry knowledge are additional advantages.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills are preferred.
