Responsibilities
- Deploy and set up test instances and databases on-prem and in the cloud using Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins.
- Troubleshoot deployment, test, and product issues.
- Develop performance tests using LoadRunner, DevWeb, Apache Benchmark, and custom scripts.
- Monitor and analyze various logs and metrics to diagnose issues and bottlenecks.
- File and track product issues in Jira with detailed reproduction steps.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to investigate and mitigate testing problems.
- Improve automation to enhance analysis of performance measurements.
- Take ownership of tasks and communicate proactively.
Requirements
- 6+ years of dedicated experience in performance engineering.
- Strong experience with Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in GCP and/or AWS cloud environments.
- Experience with performance testing tools like LoadRunner or JMeter.
- Scripting skills in Bash, Perl, or Python.
- Ability to diagnose bottlenecks in PostgreSQL or other relational database queries.
- Familiarity with performance monitoring tools such as New Relic, Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
