Software Engineer - Test Automation

- Develop automation framework concepts for the automotive telematics domain.
- Create automation strategies for API, overall system, and software-level validation.
- Provide architectural and technical support for automotive framework development.
- Develop and maintain Python test scripts and test automation tools.
- Review software specifications and testing procedures, and create or assist with test cases.
- Perform manual and automated testing and validation according to requirements and specifications.
- Write test cases and scripts, produce detailed testing reports, and provide task status updates.
- Create and update testing-procedure documentation and participate in validation reviews, meetings, and project syncs.
- Follow automotive industry and in-car application standards.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as an automotive Test Automation Engineer.
- Knowledge or experience with white-box and grey-box software testing.
- Experience with Linux, including low- to medium-level environments and virtual machines.
- Networking knowledge including TCP/IP, packet capture, NAT, bridging, and peer-to-peer networking.
- Experience analyzing data, logs, and traces, including with Wireshark.
- Knowledge of hardware setup and telematics or infotainment systems, eCall, and power modes.
- Experience testing automotive sub-domains including CAN, diagnostics, cybersecurity, ECU flashing, eCall, and power modes.
- Good written and verbal English communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a relevant IT-connected specialization is a bonus.
- ISTQB certification, A-SPICE knowledge, programming or scripting experience in Python, C#, or Perl, and virtual test environment experience are bonus qualifications.
- Willingness to travel domestically or internationally and work in an office, manufacturing facility, or client site, depending on the role arrangement.
