Responsibilities
- Implement, test, and deliver new features and improvements in Cloudera’s Streaming product domain.
- Build containers, operators, and Kubernetes jobs that integrate distributed data platform solutions into Cloudera’s containerized product family.
- Ship production code, integrate components, and deliver APIs for data-heavy streaming applications.
- Contribute across the software development lifecycle to produce secure, maintainable, and high-quality software.
- Use delivery pipeline tools and modern engineering practices to support frequent and reliable releases.
- Collaborate with product management, support, UX, and documentation teams on cross-functional projects.
- Support field teams and customers with product adoption, implementation, and troubleshooting.
- Contribute upstream to open source data technologies and optimize platform performance across environments.
Requirements
- Deep experience with Apache Flink.
- Project experience with container orchestration technologies including Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, operators, and CRDs.
- Deep expertise in Java and strong familiarity with Spring, Quarkus, Hibernate, Maven, and Gradle.
- Understanding of software design and architecture principles and the ability to produce clean, maintainable code.
- Experience with delivery pipeline tools, CI/CD solutions, automated testing, and agentic development.
- BS/MS in Computer Science or a related field and/or 5+ years of relevant work experience.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills and a strong sense of ownership.
- Preferred experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP; Apache Kafka, NiFi, or Spark; Scala, Python, or Go; and React, HTML, or CSS.
- Ability to design and implement delivery pipelines is preferred.
