Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable batch, real-time, and near-real-time data collection and ingestion solutions.
- Define system architectures and data lake patterns optimized for scalability, fault tolerance, performance, and cost effectiveness.
- Develop generic frameworks for data ingestion, data quality checks, monitoring, reporting, cleansing, enrichment, and ETL integration.
- Create and maintain data architectures, data models, data modeling standards, and optimized dataset processes and storage.
- Build data flow channels and processing systems that extract, transform, load, and integrate data from multiple sources.
- Automate manual tasks and create Control-M jobs to schedule end-to-end processes.
- Support and maintain existing data processes, production stability, and data quality.
- Perform platform migrations from on-premise systems to AWS and plan, execute, and optimize end-to-end cloud migrations.
- Collaborate with architects, product managers, customers, and engineering teams to solve complex enterprise application and data problems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field and five years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree in one of those fields and three years of relevant experience.
- Experience building large-scale data analytics and machine learning solutions on AWS and Snowflake Cloud Data Warehouse.
- Expertise architecting and building scalable cloud-based big data applications using AWS services including S3, EMR, Lambda, Athena, Kinesis, and EKS.
- Experience maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Stash, or Concourse and developing Unix shell scripts.
- Experience building real-time and near-real-time data ingestion frameworks using Kinesis Stream and Firehose, Lambda, EMR, Snowflake Tasks, and Snowflake Streams.
- Experience implementing data lake strategies and using Snowflake, SQL, Python, data warehousing, and advanced data modeling techniques.
- Experience with platform migration from on-premise systems to AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Foreign education equivalent is accepted for the stated degree requirements.
