Base Salary
$110k - $135k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and document technical and functional specifications using flowcharts, ER diagrams, and pseudocode.
- Develop, test, integrate, review, and refactor software to improve performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Analyze and enhance existing applications and support migration from legacy systems to modern platforms.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for Labcorp’s internally developed Virtual LIMS.
- Provide Tier-3 production support, troubleshooting, and occasional after-hours or on-call support.
- Apply laboratory operations and clinical workflow knowledge to system design and functionality.
- Contribute as an individual contributor and technical subject matter expert while guiding junior engineers.
- Coordinate with vendors and cross-functional teams to deliver projects on schedule.
- Configure and maintain third-party software and integrations with internal systems.
- Follow enterprise development standards and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
- At least 7 years of experience with .NET technologies, including .NET Core, ASP.NET, MVC, WCF, Entity Framework, or similar ORM tools.
- At least 7 years of experience designing databases and writing queries with SQL Server or similar RDBMS systems.
- At least 7 years of experience with API development, microservices architecture, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native applications.
- At least 7 years of experience with distributed application design and development using Kafka, MQ, RabbitMQ, or similar technologies.
- At least 2 years of experience with healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7 and FHIR preferred.
- Hands-on experience with version control and CI/CD tools such as Git, Jenkins, or Bamboo.
- Experience with Agile development, test-driven development, continuous integration pipelines, and fast-paced delivery environments.
- Understanding of clinical laboratory operations or healthcare IT environments.
- Experience with SSRS, Confluence, Jira, Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform is advantageous.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, attention-to-detail, and organizational skills.
- Ability to support Tier-3 production issues and work occasional hours beyond the regular schedule.

- Full-time, exempt salaried position with standard Monday-Friday hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST.
