Responsibilities

  • Architect and design complex, scalable, secure, and reliable software solutions for major enterprise initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver complex applications, components, and subsystems using Java and J2EE technologies.
  • Define application-level architecture and participate in architecture, design, code review, and performance assessment activities.
  • Build and improve automated test frameworks, scripts, test plans, and QA readiness processes.
  • Lead API, cloud-service, DevSecOps, CI/CD, production installation, monitoring, and incident-resolution activities.
  • Establish coding standards, development methodologies, documentation, project life-cycle plans, schedules, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Advise senior management and business units on technical strategy and resolve project or technology issues.
  • Mentor junior team members and provide technical leadership across multiple projects and divisional initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a closely related field and five years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree in one of those fields and three years of relevant experience.
  • Experience developing software or test automation using Java, J2EE, Cucumber Serenity, or Selenium automation frameworks.
  • Expertise designing enterprise applications with APIs and RESTful services and adapting Spring Boot microservice architecture in large-scale systems.
  • Experience with Java 8+, Spring Boot, Maven, AWS Batch, Kubernetes, Oracle PL/SQL, and Kafka.
  • Experience building test automation frameworks and automated test scripts using Java, J2EE, Cucumber Serenity, Selenium, JEST, and AWS.
  • Experience with web service testing using RestAssured, ReadyAPI, or Karate.
  • Experience with DevSecOps, automated testing, and CI/CD using Concourse and Jenkins.
  • Experience performing production installs, resolving production issues, supporting production applications, monitoring logs with Datadog, and validating production installations.
