Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to conceive, design, and launch products and services for Amazon Fresh and Whole Foods Market stores.
  • Design and build innovative technologies in large distributed computing environments.
  • Create solutions for running predictions on distributed systems at scale.
  • Build scalable, fault-tolerant, low-cost distributed storage, indexing, and query systems.
  • Design and code solutions for broadly defined problems.
  • Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • Programming experience with at least one software programming language.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Preferred: 5 or more years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • Preferred: knowledge of software engineering best practices across the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architecture, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence.
  • Preferred: experience debugging, profiling, and implementing software engineering best practices in large-scale systems.
  • Preferred: experience designing or architecting new and existing systems for reliability and scaling.
  • Preferred: experience mentoring engineers or serving as a tech lead.
