Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and debug backend services and data-processing modules using Golang and Scala/Spark.
- Build scalable microservices and real-time data pipelines for high-volume security telemetry and threat intelligence.
- Apply engineering practices for code quality, automated testing, observability, and deployment automation.
- Create design documents, sequence diagrams, and technical specifications for platform features and enhancements.
- Develop unit, integration, and performance tests in partnership with QA.
- Resolve complex technical and production issues with architects, senior engineers, Product Security, and Customer Escalation teams.
- Use AI-powered engineering tools for code assistance, test generation, log analysis, and root-cause analysis.
- Optimize data models, queries, and caching strategies for large-scale distributed systems.
- Participate in design and code reviews while championing secure coding and privacy-by-design principles.
- Support deployments, monitoring, incident response, and continuous improvement with Product Management, SRE, and Operations.
- Own services or modules end-to-end and provide technical leadership, mentoring, and cross-team collaboration.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience building backend or data-intensive systems.
- Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Golang and Python, with sound data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented or functional design fundamentals.
- Practical knowledge of REST and/or gRPC services, API design, and microservices architectures.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and at least one major cloud platform among AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Familiarity with SQL and/or NoSQL databases, Redis caching, and Kafka messaging or streaming.
- Ability to use AI productivity tools while maintaining engineering judgment and code quality.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
