Responsibilities
- Design and implement high-performance datapath solutions on custom and merchant silicon.
- Develop packet-forwarding technologies including IP, MPLS, Segment Routing, and VXLAN.
- Implement traffic-management capabilities such as QoS policers, schedulers, shapers, ACLs, TCAM management, and packet extraction to CPU.
- Use DPDK and related technologies to optimize high-throughput packet processing.
- Work with virtualized Linux environments including KVM and Docker.
- Write efficient, modular, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Collaborate with product management, software testers, and other cross-functional teams to deliver customer-driven solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 3–10 years of experience.
- Proven experience with IP, MPLS, Segment Routing, and VXLAN packet-forwarding technologies.
- Experience with QoS technologies, including policers, schedulers, and ACLs, plus TCAM management.
- Hands-on DPDK experience for high-performance packet processing.
- Proficiency in C and C++ focused on networking solutions.
- Experience with virtualized Linux environments such as KVM and Docker.
- Contributions to SONiC or other open-source networking projects are desirable.
- Methodical problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a passion for networking and high-performance systems.
