Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain Kotlin microservices using Spring Boot or Quarkus.
- Implement and configure Azure API Management policies using C# and XML for routing, request validation, authorization, and gateway performance.
- Containerize applications and deploy them to Azure Kubernetes Service using Helm charts.
- Maintain Terraform infrastructure repositories for Azure Redis, Key Vault, networking, and related resources.
- Manage GitHub Actions and Azure Pipelines deployment workflows.
- Write Python scripts and runbooks to automate operational tasks.
- Integrate Redis for caching and authorization layers and implement OAuth2/JWT standards across endpoints.
- Configure OpenTelemetry tracing and observability and support commercial B2B APIs.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency with Kotlin in the JVM ecosystem and essential experience with Spring Boot or Quarkus.
- Hands-on experience deploying and managing services on Kubernetes using Helm.
- Proven experience writing and managing Terraform infrastructure for Azure resources.
- Direct experience with Azure API Management, including gateway policies in C# and XML and routing configuration.
- Deep understanding of API gateway patterns, including rate limiting, authentication, and routing, plus OAuth2/JWT authorization models.
- Familiarity with building commercial B2B APIs.
- Preferred proficiency in Python for scripting, tooling, and runbooks.
- Preferred experience configuring and maintaining GitHub Actions and Azure Pipelines.
- Preferred familiarity with OpenTelemetry and strong operational knowledge of Redis.
- Nice-to-have experience with Go or Rust, including building Terraform providers; TypeScript/React for internal developer portals; or Scala for automation tooling.
