Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, high-quality production software solutions.
- Create architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure implementation meets design constraints.
- Develop and maintain frontend and backend applications using React or Angular, Java, and Spring Boot.
- Analyze large and diverse datasets to identify patterns and improve software applications, coding hygiene, and system architecture.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation tools for coding, testing, troubleshooting, refactoring, and documentation while validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Apply software development lifecycle practices and support application resiliency, security, testing, and operational stability.
- Guide peers on safe and effective use of AI-assisted engineering tools and contribute reusable development practices.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability using React or Angular, Java 8, and Spring Boot.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database querying languages.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to evaluate, validate, and refine generated outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Overall knowledge of the software development lifecycle and agile development practices.
- Preferred: familiarity with modern frontend technologies; Java Kafka producers and consumers; Cassandra, DynamoDB, or Elasticsearch; Cloud Foundry or AWS; and CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance.
