Base Salary
$160k - $196k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build backend systems with FastAPI and Python.
- Develop multi-turn chatbots with agentic functionality using llama-stack and the OpenAI Agents SDK.
- Use NoSQL and vector databases to persist conversational data and application usage metrics.
- Use Splunk for log tracing, application monitoring, and dashboard development.
- Use Redis to cache user information and improve application latency.
- Containerize applications with Docker and deploy them using Kubernetes.
- Design, develop, test, debug, deploy, and maintain microservices for AI initiatives.
- Collaborate cross-functionally on API development supporting AI-based applications.
- Work with data scientists to train, test, and evaluate AI models and LangFuse.
- Manage deployment of IBM Granite models with vLLM.
- Monitor backend services running in cloud and OpenShift environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related field and five years of experience in the offered job or a related role, or a master’s degree in one of those fields and three years of experience.
- At least three years of experience with NoSQL or vector databases for conversational data storage, observability and traceability of distributed applications, and Docker and Kubernetes deployment tools.
- At least two years of experience designing and implementing multi-turn conversational applications and using Python-based asynchronous web frameworks with distributed caching for low-latency applications.
- At least one year of experience with agentic frameworks and LLMs.
