Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain operational excellence through automation across operating systems, middleware, deployment, platform lifecycle, audit reporting, and compliance activities.
- Deploy, configure, and security-harden operating systems and application middleware platforms.
- Deploy solutions to VMware and VMware Cloud on AWS.
- Manage code deployment and platform lifecycles using reliable operational change and release processes.
- Maintain platform high availability and support continuous improvement.
- Engage customers through technical collaboration and solution design.
- Research, develop, and promote platform-agnostic solutions that eliminate manual processes.
Requirements
- Demonstrated senior-level DevOps experience with open-source and VMware automation products.
- Detailed understanding of Infrastructure as Code concepts and experience with full-stack automation and CI/CD.
- Experience with operating systems including Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Windows Server.
- Experience with configuration management tools including Git, GitLab CI/CD, Puppet, Puppet Bolt, Ansible, and PowerShell DSC.
- Experience with networking and load-balancing technologies including F5 BIG-IP, Access Policy Manager, Infoblox DDI, and HAProxy.
- Experience with monitoring tools including Prometheus, Alertmanager, and Grafana.
- Experience with Bash, Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, VMware vRO, Rundeck, and RESTful API integration or development.
- Experience with RPM and Chocolatey packaging, Docker, Buildah, Podman, and Artifactory.
- Ability to adapt to equivalent products and rapidly changing technical environments.
- Must be an Australian Citizen and eligible to obtain NV1 security clearance.
