Responsibilities
- Embed secure-by-design and secure-by-default practices across Workday technologies.
- Support threat modeling activities across the development community.
- Assess system architectures and recommend security improvements and controls.
- Partner with service teams to foster positive security practices.
- Develop, deploy, and support security-specific solutions and automate repeatable security tasks and controls.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
- Advance security workstreams across operational and project activities.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, software engineering, or public cloud platform engineering.
- 2+ years of experience with public cloud technologies, automation, and cloud-native applications; GCP and/or AWS experience is preferred.
- Deep understanding of authentication, authorization, role-based access control, encryption, and penetration testing.
- Practical enterprise application software development and developer workflow experience.
- Proficiency in at least one modern application or systems programming language, such as Java, C++, C#, Scala, Golang, Rust, or Python.
- Experience developing, deploying, and supporting security-specific solutions.
- Experience working with and securing agentic AI tools and systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for supporting Security Champions and development teams.

- Flexible work arrangement requiring at least 50% of each quarter in the office or in the field for applicable roles.
- EU base salary range of €70,200 to €105,400 for the Ireland location.
- Eligibility may include the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus and annual refresh stock grants.
