Base Salary

$149k - $224k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, monitor, and maintain well-scoped features for the IDMC Data Integration platform.
  • Build reliable, high-performance Java backend services in a cloud-native microservices architecture.
  • Develop data pipelines, APIs, and integration workflows that move and transform data across cloud environments.
  • Implement automated unit, integration, regression, and contract tests and contribute to code reviews.
  • Participate in CI/CD, deployment, monitoring, incident response, and other operational reliability activities.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers, LMTS, Product Managers, and distributed teammates on requirements and technical solutions.
  • Develop deeper specialization in areas such as data movement, service performance, or AI-assisted development.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of full-time software development experience in a product or enterprise environment, preferably building cloud-native backend services.
  • Deep hands-on experience with Java or a similar JVM language, object-oriented design, concurrent programming, and production-grade performance-critical code.
  • Experience designing, building, and operating scalable high-throughput APIs in a cloud environment, with knowledge of microservices, service discovery, and event-driven or message-queue patterns.
  • Familiarity with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Expertise in RDBMS concepts, advanced SQL, query optimization, and transaction management; experience with a NoSQL database such as Cassandra or MongoDB is preferred.
  • Practical Docker experience and basic familiarity with Kubernetes for service deployment and scaling.
  • Exposure to distributed processing technologies such as Apache Spark or Kafka and understanding of distributed systems fundamentals.
  • Experience implementing automated tests with frameworks such as JUnit or TestNG.
  • Hands-on proficiency with Git and modern CI/CD pipelines; familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Preferred qualifications include knowledge of generative AI and LLMs, AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or Cursor, data lake concepts, Iceberg or Delta Lake, data integration or metadata management, and Salesforce or SaaS integrations.
