Base Salary

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and functional support for sales engagements and serve as the technical conduit between sales teams and clients.
  • Design tailored payment, digital-wallet, issuer, tokenization, and contactless acceptance solutions and target-state architectures.
  • Lead technical discovery and solution design for issuer and card-portfolio enablement in digital wallets.
  • Define token lifecycle behavior across issuer systems, card networks, token services, wallets, and customer-service operations.
  • Advise clients on EMV, NFC, contactless payment flows, terminal capabilities, certification, troubleshooting, and operational monitoring.
  • Develop and deliver technical presentations, workshops, architecture reviews, demonstrations, proposals, sequence flows, and integration documentation.
  • Define, monitor, and review sales solutions engineering objectives and communicate market trends and client feedback to Product leadership.
  • Build relationships with issuers, payment networks, processors, merchants, acquirers, technology vendors, and internal teams.
  • Comply with security policies and procedures protecting system and data confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Typically at least 8 years of progressive experience in payments or fintech solutions engineering, sales engineering, technical consulting, or solution architecture.
  • Experience supporting issuers, processors, payment networks, token services, or digital-wallet integrations, including wallet enablement, card digitization, tokenization, or provisioning programs.
  • Strong knowledge of payment tokenization, issuer-to-wallet provisioning, ID&V, token assurance, and token lifecycle management.
  • Working knowledge of EMV, NFC, contactless payment standards, cardholder verification, dynamic cryptograms, authorization flows, terminal certification, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency with APIs, SDKs, cloud platforms, ecommerce integrations, and scalable payment-solution architecture.
  • Understanding of U.S. payments regulation and security requirements, including PCI DSS, data protection, AML, KYC, and sanctions compliance.
  • Strong customer-facing, sales, leadership, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Preferred qualifications include EMV Level 1–3 testing or certification, contactless terminal kernels, terminal-management systems, Tap to Pay on Phone, SoftPOS, mobile point-of-sale, terminal-estate deployment, payment or security certifications, real-time payments, fraud-prevention tools, Apple Pay, Google Pay, issuer processing, payment gateways, and card-on-file credential management.
  • Requires ability to work in a fast-paced environment, travel up to 25%, and complete a background and drug screen.
