Base Salary
$72k - $115k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop software functionality for devices running on real-time operating systems using C, C++, and Python.
- Participate in software development, testing, documentation, debugging, maintenance, and release integration.
- Reduce backlog defects to improve software quality and reliability.
- Use AI-assisted tools to improve coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and development efficiency.
- Create scripts, test utilities, and development aids.
- Consult with engineers, architects, and technical personnel to align solutions with design requirements.
- Collaborate with product verification and test teams to resolve issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- Previous relevant internship, co-op, or applied project experience.
- Proficiency in C, C++, and Python.
- Ability to use AI-assisted tools for software development.
- Understanding of structured programming and software design concepts.
- Preferred experience with low-level real-time software or firmware development.
- Preferred familiarity with Embedded Linux, VxWorks, automated unit testing frameworks, datacom concepts, secure protocols, cryptographic algorithms, x.509 certificates, and encryption technologies.
