Responsibilities
- Develop, code, enhance, and deliver custom software solutions across systems and applications.
- Design technology architectures for mainframe platforms, products, and client engagements.
- Analyze and troubleshoot Mainframe COBOL/CICS applications.
- Perform performance tuning and scalability planning for large-scale technology platforms.
- Translate complex technical requirements into effective architectural solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional business and technical teams to maintain architectural consistency.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends and recommend improvements.
- Document architectural decisions and maintain records for knowledge sharing.
- Use AI tools such as Copilot to improve productivity in testing processes.
- Work independently as a subject matter expert and contribute to team discussions and problem solving.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience in COBOL Mainframe.
- At least 5 years of overall experience is required.
- 15 years of full-time education.
- Strong experience with COBOL, CICS, VSAM, JCL, and DB2.
- Hands-on CICS experience with the ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of system design principles and architectural frameworks for mainframe environments.
- Experience with performance tuning, scalability planning, integration techniques, and middleware technologies within mainframe ecosystems.
- Ability to analyze complex technical requirements and develop robust, maintainable architectural solutions.
- Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
