Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks for banking applications.
- Create automated functional and regression test scripts using tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, and Cucumber.
- Define automation scope, oversee end-to-end delivery, and manage automation framework infrastructure and code repositories.
- Develop risk-aware test strategies based on banking operations, compliance requirements, financial products, and business workflows.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve issues early.
- Use AI and machine learning capabilities for test-case generation, test execution optimization, intelligent test-data generation, and anomaly detection.
- Create and condition test data, execute test cases, and monitor test coverage, defect metrics, and overall application quality.
- Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, development teams, and cross-functional RBC partners worldwide.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET).
- Proficiency with Java, Python, Vue, Angular, Node.js, Oracle, and SQL queries for test-data mining, generation, and conditioning.
- Extensive experience with test automation tools including Selenium and Playwright, plus Cucumber framework development.
- Experience testing banking applications and understanding banking workflows, financial products, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins.
- Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman or SoapUI.
- Experience with API development and integrating models through APIs.
- Understanding of deep learning fundamentals, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and large language models (LLMs).
- Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and code-quality skills.
