Base Salary
$207k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Onboard emerging co-accelerators into Google’s machine-learning accelerator families to enable new use cases with improved performance and efficiency.
- Design and implement system-software features, including firmware or daemons running on BMCs, hosts, and kernel drivers.
- Design and develop tests, tools, telemetry, and dashboards to monitor and debug potential issues.
- Analyze, debug, and resolve complex system-level challenges involving host and management software stacks.
- Provide technical leadership, formulate software development plans, and manage dependencies across cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Eight years of experience in software development.
- Five years of experience testing and launching software products.
- Five years of experience working with embedded operating systems.
- Three years of experience with software design and architecture.
- Experience with C, C++, operating systems, and computer architecture.
- Preferred: Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Preferred: Eight years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Preferred: Three years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
- Preferred: Three years of experience in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional or cross-business projects.
- Preferred: Experience designing, developing, and deploying HPC server solutions across the full development cycle.
- Preferred: Working knowledge of hardware-accelerated compute pipelines such as GPUs and ML accelerators, including system integration involving boot flow, firmware, and telemetry.
