Base Salary
$210k - $314k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the backend services that manage printer identity, connectivity, provisioning, updates, and telemetry.
- Design and improve the Linux layer for printer operations, including updates and rollbacks.
- Develop protocols and connections to maintain reliable communication between printers and the cloud.
- Drive major backend initiatives from design through production rollout.
- Participate in on-call duties, incident response, and postmortems for owned services.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship across backend, infrastructure, and device teams.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in building and operating production backend services.
- Deep understanding of Linux fundamentals and ability to debug production Linux issues.
- Strong networking skills, including TCP/IP, TLS, DNS, and HTTP.
- Hands-on experience with OS provisioning and lifecycle management.
- Expert-level proficiency in at least one modern backend programming language.
- Strong communication, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
