Base Salary
$175k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain MCP servers that expose data platform capabilities and enterprise business systems to internal tools and AI workflows.
- Build internal APIs and lightweight Streamlit web applications and dashboards.
- Develop stateful applications that enforce standard operating procedures and policy compliance.
- Develop and manage automated workflows and pipelines in Python.
- Convert high-value macros and user-built tools into standalone services and low-code workflows for internal teams.
- Define coding standards and best practices for interacting with AI agents across Branch.
- Scope and deliver solutions with engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders.
- Own projects from scoping and architecture through deployment and maintenance.
- Write clean, documented code and contribute to technical quality standards.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional Python engineering experience.
- At least 3 years of experience designing and building APIs, with FastAPI or Flask preferred.
- At least 3 years of full-stack Python development experience.
- Experience building or working with MCP servers.
- Experience with deterministic LLM programming, including tools or patterns such as LangChain, UserPromptSubmit, and PostToolUse.
- Familiarity with OLTP databases and caching technologies.
- Strong SQL proficiency and experience with relational databases.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
- Proven ability to own the full lifecycle of a project.
- Fintech, payments, or financial services experience is preferred.
- Streamlit or similar lightweight UI framework experience is preferred.
- Workflow automation experience with tools such as Airflow, Prefect, or n8n is preferred.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is preferred.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship or transfer.
