Responsibilities
- Design and implement technical solutions that maximize the value of the Feedzai platform.
- Configure, customize, and extend customer solutions using Java, SQL, and platform configuration.
- Build and maintain integrations using REST APIs, messaging systems, asynchronous systems, and file processing.
- Troubleshoot production issues across application, database, infrastructure, and integration layers.
- Analyze and optimize application performance, scalability, and operational reliability.
- Lead technical activities during implementations, upgrades, migrations, and production go-lives.
- Support enterprise customers throughout implementation and post-production operations.
- Review solution designs and implementation approaches for alignment with Feedzai best practices.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to reusable implementation assets, documentation, and engineering standards.
- Provide Product Engineering with feedback from customer implementations and operational experience.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong Java development skills, including customizing and debugging complex applications.
- Strong SQL knowledge and database troubleshooting experience.
- Experience designing and implementing enterprise software integrations.
- Experience with REST APIs, messaging platforms, asynchronous systems, and file-based integrations.
- Experience with cloud platforms, with AWS preferred.
- Strong production troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
- Experience analyzing Java application performance through thread dumps, heap analysis, and JVM tuning.
- Solid understanding of distributed systems, software architecture, scalability, and performance.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work directly with customer engineering teams.
- Ability to balance hands-on technical work with customer-facing responsibilities.
- Experience in fraud prevention, financial services, or risk management platforms is preferred.
- Experience with Kubernetes and containerized applications is preferred.
- Experience with PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases is preferred.
