Responsibilities

  • Provide technical guidance and direction to the business, technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
  • Develop secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others.
  • Drive adoption and governance of approved AI-assisted engineering practices across teams.
  • Establish measurable validation standards for secure coding, peer review, automated testing, and AI-assisted outputs.
  • Use Software Development Life Cycle toolchain capabilities and automation to improve engineering outcomes at scale.
  • Influence product design, application functionality, technical operations, and engineering processes.
  • Serve as a function-wide subject-matter expert and advocate for firmwide engineering frameworks, tools, and practices.
  • Coach senior engineers and leads on responsible, compliant AI usage patterns and controls.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
  • At least 5 years of applied software engineering experience.
  • Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages.
  • Experience leading the effective use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools for coding, code review, test acceleration, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
  • Ability to solve design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight.
  • Practical cloud-native experience.
