Responsibilities
- Lead large, complex, cross-team technical projects for the Core Marketplace.
- Drive architecture and technology decisions, communicate trade-offs, and contribute to high- and low-level design and coding.
- Build scalable, highly available systems and improve code quality, technical debt, processes, and developer productivity.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers across platforms and domains.
- Mentor engineers and promote technical knowledge, best practices, and leadership skills.
- Develop deep product and business knowledge to create innovative marketplace features.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software development.
- 2+ years of experience in product development as a Lead Engineer or equivalent technical leadership role.
- Experience serving as a technical lead across multiple engineering teams.
- A track record of building scalable systems and experience with microservices and highly available web-scale systems.
- Strong computer science foundation and practical experience with software development, architecture, and design.
- Deep knowledge of distributed systems concepts, problems, and solution patterns.
- Strong hands-on programming skills in Go, Python, or Java.
- Deep knowledge of open-source and cloud-native software.
- Strong knowledge of storage technologies, including Postgres, Cassandra, Redis, and Elasticsearch.
- Strong communication, collaboration, user empathy, integrity, drive, and resourcefulness.
