Base Salary
$87k - $157k/yr
Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, code, update, test, and deploy software features and performance improvements.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle from requirements and design through implementation, testing, and deployment.
- Serve as technical lead for small projects and provide direction to ensure technical quality.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers and help elevate team capabilities.
- Perform peer reviews and promote software quality, maintainability, and engineering best practices.
- Drive process improvements involving workflows, tools, and engineering practices.
- Evaluate field-test results and translate findings into software enhancements.
- Communicate technical progress, risks, and solutions to client project stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a STEM field plus 4+ years of professional software development experience, or a master’s degree plus 2+ years of professional experience.
- Professional experience using C++ and Linux, including knowledge of the Linux operating system.
- Understanding of data structures and experience with software source control and configuration management tools.
- Significant team-environment experience, including guidance and coaching of other developers.
- Exposure to high availability, sensor fusion, target tracking, path planning, communications systems, or military systems integration.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Preferred qualifications include familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, Jenkins, Java, front-end development frameworks, relational databases, Python, Docker, Kubernetes, RKE2, simulation, vector geometry, communications protocols, artificial intelligence, game theory, Petri nets, and safety-critical software.
- Preferred experience includes designing complex systems, working with TCP/IP, UDP, DDS, extensive datasets, and Kubernetes management and automation technologies.
- An active Secret Security Clearance is preferred.
