Base Salary
$126k - $189k/yr
Responsibilities
- Support administration of AWS services and Databricks environments.
- Maintain platform configurations, access controls, and security best practices.
- Assist with vendor and platform partner relationships.
- Contribute to monitoring, troubleshooting, operational support, and reliability improvements.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Improve environment provisioning and configuration management across development and production environments.
- Support CI/CD workflows for infrastructure and platform deployments.
- Implement and maintain operational best practices for cloud infrastructure.
- Support development and maintenance of data pipelines and integrations using Python, Spark, SQL, and AWS services.
- Assist with data quality validation, testing, code reviews, and documentation.
- Collaborate with Data Engineering and Data Science teams to support analytics, machine learning, and telemetry initiatives.
- Contribute to platform tooling and process improvements that increase team productivity and reliability.
- Support cloud cost management through resource tagging, budgeting, usage monitoring, and optimization efforts.
- Assist with rightsizing compute, storage, and workload configurations.
- Help identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or related engineering roles.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services in production environments.
- Experience working with Databricks.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and workflows, such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
- Familiarity with AWS Cost Management tools, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and related operational tooling.
- Understanding of security fundamentals, including IAM/RBAC, least privilege access, network controls, encryption, and secrets management.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in a cross-functional environment.
- Interest in expanding into Data Engineering and supporting data-driven platforms.
