- Lead SDET and QA automation activities for API-first and microservices architectures.
- Develop and maintain API automation using Java and REST Assured.
- Use Postman/Newman and potentially Karate for API testing support.
- Validate service contracts, API schemas, JSON/XML payloads, authentication, and integration testing patterns.
- Test retail banking workflows involving accounts, payments, cards, onboarding, and transactions.
- Work with Jenkins, Git, Maven/Gradle, Linux, logs, and backend tracing to debug and integrate automated tests.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in SDET or QA Automation roles.
- Strong programming expertise in Java is mandatory.
- Hands-on experience with REST Assured; Postman/Newman experience is supporting, and Karate is good to have.
- Experience testing API-first and microservices architectures.
- Strong understanding of service contracts, mocking and stubbing, JSON/XML validation, API schema validation, and integration testing patterns.
- Domain exposure to retail banking, including accounts, payments, cards, onboarding, and transactions.
- Experience with Jenkins, Git, Maven/Gradle, Linux, logs, and backend tracing.
- Strong understanding of API fundamentals, including endpoints, payloads, status codes, and authentication.
