Responsibilities
- Design and develop new features across Pico's product range, including ultra-low-latency market data and order execution solutions.
- Build and maintain high-performance, multithreaded C++ applications under Linux.
- Solve real-time challenges involving the normalization and analysis of high-volume market data.
- Work with IP networking, automated unit and integration testing, and maintainable code practices.
- Collaborate with engineering and customer-facing teams while communicating technical decisions and trade-offs.
Requirements
- BSc or MSc in a relevant engineering discipline such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.
- Strong proficiency in C++ development under Linux.
- Experience with high-performance systems and multithreaded application development.
- Knowledge of IP networking, computer architectures, and automated testing.
- Strong problem-solving, learning, communication, collaboration, and customer-service skills.
- Desirable experience with Linux development environments, gdb, valgrind, Python, Jenkins, CI-aligned test automation, financial trading concepts, FIX protocols, and Wireshark.
