Base Salary
$160k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Drive the macro-level system-of-systems and enterprise architecture strategy across legacy, partner, cloud, and distributed systems.
- Define integration fabrics, APIs, data standards, and architectural components for a cohesive ecosystem.
- Serve as the primary technical authority across cloud, data engineering, distributed microservices, and cross-domain integration.
- Establish interoperability frameworks incorporating secure DevSecOps pipelines and Zero-Trust Network Access principles.
- Translate operational mission needs into technical specifications and architectural allocations.
- Evaluate technology trade-offs, identify innovation opportunities, and brief senior corporate, military, civilian, and government leaders.
- Provide technical mentorship and alignment across multiple multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Requirements
- 15+ years of progressive IT and engineering experience, including at least 5+ years as a Chief or Principal Architect leading large-scale, multi-vendor modernization and systems integration efforts.
- Proven experience integrating disparate architectures, heterogeneous data streams, and siloed software solutions for the Department of War or Intelligence Community.
- Deep architecture experience with AWS GovCloud or Azure Government, Kubernetes, container orchestration, and mesh networks.
- Strong background engineering modern data platforms, distributed data systems, and real-time analytics pipelines.
- Experience guiding large-scale architectures within Agile frameworks and automated delivery pipelines.
- Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical strategies to non-technical and senior military or civilian leaders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience or certifications.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense clearance.
