Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain responsive, accessible, mobile-first web applications.
- Build interfaces using the U.S. Web Design System and develop reusable UI components, templates, and front-end libraries.
- Translate UI/UX designs, wireframes, and business requirements into intuitive user interfaces.
- Integrate front-end applications with RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Ensure responsive behavior, browser compatibility, performance, and compliance with Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 AA.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers and cross-functional product, project, business, architecture, backend, and QA teams.
- Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, code reviews, sprint demonstrations, and continuous integration activities.
- Troubleshoot UI defects, accessibility issues, and performance bottlenecks.
- Develop and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Document technical designs, reusable components, and development standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience developing enterprise web applications.
- Strong proficiency with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Experience with React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Experience with responsive, mobile-first web applications, Flexbox, and CSS Grid.
- Experience with the U.S. Web Design System or similar enterprise design systems.
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs and JSON-based services.
- Experience developing applications compliant with Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 AA.
- Familiarity with Git, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and modern software development practices.
- Federal Government web application experience is preferred.
- Experience with Bootstrap, Tailwind CSS, Material Design, or other component libraries is preferred.
- Experience with Jest, Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium is preferred.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Docker, and cloud-hosted applications is preferred.
- Knowledge of OWASP secure coding practices and DevSecOps principles is preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
