Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, review, and debug secure, high-quality production software.
- Lead adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices with validation standards for correctness, performance, and security.
- Use software development lifecycle tools and automation to improve delivery and operational outcomes.
- Identify and automate remediation of recurring issues to improve application and system stability.
- Lead technical evaluation sessions with vendors, startups, and internal teams regarding architecture and system integration.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Strong development experience with Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, Kubernetes, Kafka, Cassandra, and Elasticsearch.
- Experience with public cloud technologies including ECS, S3, Lambda, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Snowflake, Athena, and Glue.
- Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages and practical cloud-native experience.
- Experience leading responsible use of AI-assisted software development tools and coaching engineers on secure, compliant adoption.
- Proficiency across the Software Development Life Cycle and strong understanding of application resiliency and security.
- In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and its IT systems.
