Platform Engineer / DevOps Engineer / Infrastructure Engineer / Site Reliability Engineer

- Own a CI/CD pipeline, observability area, or environment-build automation workstream through design, implementation, and daily operation.
- Write readable Python, Bash, or Go automation to reduce toil and keep systems healthy.
- Build and extend Terraform infrastructure-as-code and diagnose broken environments to root cause.
- Operate across AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Linux, Windows, networking, and hybrid environments.
- Support cloud-native and classified on-premises environments, including Windows, Active Directory, VMware, and air-gapped networks.
- Apply secure-configuration baselines and security measures within established ISM/PSPF accreditation standards.
- Rotate across focus areas approximately every six months to build breadth.
- Collaborate with software engineers and help newer team members become effective.
Requirements
- Around five or more years of experience running infrastructure, cloud operations, platform, or Defence/MSP infrastructure environments.
- Confident scripting and automation in at least one of Python, Bash, or Go, including handling errors and edge cases.
- Hands-on production experience with infrastructure-as-code such as Terraform.
- Broad experience across cloud, operating systems, containers, CI/CD, and networking in cloud and hybrid environments.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and own work through implementation and ongoing operation.
- Australian citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain an Australian NV2 security clearance; existing NV2 or equivalent is preferred.
- Production Kubernetes experience and experience with one or more cloud platforms beyond AWS are preferred.
- Experience in Defence, critical infrastructure, regulated, classified, or air-gapped environments is preferred.
- Experience with ISM/PSPF accreditation, Windows, Active Directory, and VMware is preferred.
- Software-engineering experience in Go, Rust, or similar is welcomed but not required.
