Responsibilities
- Architect, deploy, automate, optimise, and secure enterprise-scale Azure cloud infrastructure.
- Design Azure compute, storage, database, networking, identity, security, and connectivity solutions.
- Develop Infrastructure as Code for multi-subscription Azure environments using Terraform, Bicep, and Azure Resource Manager templates.
- Lead CI/CD automation and DevOps tooling with Azure Pipelines, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins.
- Establish cloud observability, monitoring, logging, performance management, and reliability practices.
- Drive FinOps, cost optimisation, budgeting, and resource-efficiency strategies.
- Lead cloud migrations, modernisation, and platform engineering initiatives.
- Troubleshoot complex cloud performance, reliability, networking, security, and cost-governance issues.
- Collaborate with Cloud Architects, Security Engineers, and DevOps teams.
- Mentor and coach senior and mid-level cloud engineers.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in cloud engineering, platform automation, or DevOps roles.
- Deep hands-on expertise in Azure cloud services, Infrastructure as Code, and automation frameworks.
- Advanced scripting and automation experience with Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Strong knowledge of cloud security, IAM, encryption, and compliance, including ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS benchmarks.
- Proven experience leading cloud transformation, migration, and platform modernisation projects.
- Extensive knowledge of Azure cost governance, budgeting, and FinOps strategies.
- Experience working in Agile, DevOps, and SRE environments.
- Strong mentorship and technical leadership skills.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification is highly recommended.
- Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert and Terraform Associate certifications are preferred.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate or Azure Network Engineer Associate certification is optional based on focus area.
