Responsibilities
- Build and maintain web and real-time applications for Clio’s Voice & Messaging platform.
- Develop a serverless, event-driven backend and real-time call infrastructure at production scale.
- Collaborate with engineering teams across Canada, the United States, and Ireland to diagnose problems and deliver cross-product solutions.
- Review code, provide constructive feedback, and mentor other software developers.
- Help shape architecture for voice, messaging, email, regulatory compliance, and practice management integration.
Requirements
- Experience building web and real-time applications with Node.js on a serverless AWS stack using Lambda, API Gateway, and DynamoDB.
- Familiarity with WebRTC, VoIP/SIP, and real-time frameworks such as LiveKit.
- Track record of deploying and maintaining production code at scale.
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly and work effectively with distributed teams and customers.
- Demonstrated software development mentorship experience, ideally with Agile processes and large-scale SaaS products.
- Strong technical problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
