Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Embed on-site or remotely with client organizations to identify workflows suitable for agentic AI automation.
- Lead workflow discovery sessions, map processes, identify pain points, and create prioritized automation roadmaps.
- Design, build, test, deploy, and iterate agentic skills integrated with NGP VAN and the broader Claude/AI agent ecosystem.
- Manage each client engagement end to end as an independent product and engineering owner.
- Advise client staff and leadership on AI adoption, communicate technical concepts accessibly, and support change management.
- Contribute features to the NGP VAN Interface MCP integration layer and expand the NGP VAN API.
- Document designs, deployment patterns, and reusable components for future engagements.
- Synthesize client learnings into product feedback, roadmap input, and engineering priorities.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of professional software engineering or product management experience with the ability to independently ship production-quality software.
- Experience building with LLM APIs, agentic frameworks, or MCP-based tooling, including skills, tools, or agents that automate real workflows.
- Proficiency in backend or full-stack development using Python, Node.js, or .NET.
- Strong REST API skills, including consuming and designing APIs.
- Client-facing experience leading discovery sessions, managing stakeholders, and translating requirements into technical specifications.
- Ability to work autonomously in an embedded or forward-deployed model.
- Familiarity with Democratic campaigns, progressive nonprofits, or political technology.
- Ability and willingness to travel on-site to customer organizations.
- Experience with NGP VAN or EveryAction, forward-deployed or solutions engineering, technical implementation consulting, product management, MCP servers, Claude skills, or political nonprofit workflows is preferred.
- Candidates must not require current or future employment authorization sponsorship.
