Responsibilities
- Execute end-to-end testing across physical and smart Android payment terminals, POS purchase flows, terminal kernels, and full transaction processing.
- Parse and validate ISO 8583 and AS2805 payment messages, including bitmapped fields, MTIs, processing codes, and terminal-to-switch and switch-to-host communications.
- Design, automate, and execute REST and SOAP API test suites using Postman and Newman CLI.
- Build scalable Playwright automation for web applications, administrative portals, and API integrations.
- Integrate automated test suites into Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps pipelines for continuous regression testing.
- Validate terminal configurations and switch integrations against EMV, card-scheme, PIN-block, and security requirements.
- Use AI-assisted tools to accelerate test design, data generation, defect triage, log analysis, and scenario design.
Requirements
- Hands-on QA engineering experience in payments, terminal testing, POS switches, or merchant acquiring environments.
- Deep expertise in ISO 8583 and AS2805 message structures, bitmapped fields, MTIs, and response codes.
- Expert knowledge of end-to-end POS transaction flows, contact and contactless EMV kernel behavior, PIN pads, and offline SAF processing.
- Understanding of payment-switch architectures, Stand-In Processing, settlement-file generation, reconciliation processing, card-scheme compliance, and EMV certification requirements.
- Knowledge of AES DUKPT and PIN-block encryption.
- Strong Postman experience, including automated API testing, request chaining, mock servers, and Newman CLI.
- Strong hands-on experience building Playwright automation for web applications, administrative portals, and API validation.
- Experience integrating automated test runs into CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Strong SQL skills and experience analyzing logs, socket traces, and terminal debug data.
- Experience testing smart Android POS terminals or Android-based payment applications is preferred.
- Familiarity with terminal management and remote key injection systems such as PAX, VHQ, Oolio, or Verifone is preferred.
- Experience with payment message simulators such as EFTSIM or FinSim is preferred.
- Experience using AI tools such as GitHub Copilot or Gemini for test scripting, log analysis, and scenario design is preferred.
