Responsibilities
- Conduct end-to-end testing of Connex switch functions, including transaction routing, authorization, STIP, SAF, and switch-interface validation.
- Analyze switch architecture, transaction engines, host interfaces, and HP NonStop/Tandem environments for throughput, resilience, and latency.
- Parse and validate ISO 8583 and AS2805 payment messages across switch-to-host and switch-to-scheme interfaces.
- Verify EOD processing, batch-file generation, clearing, interchange settlement, and reconciliation workflows.
- Design and execute API tests with Postman and develop Playwright-based automated test suites.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
Requirements
- Substantial hands-on experience with the Connex payment switch and its core functionalities.
- Strong understanding of switch-core concepts, transaction-flow engines, and Tandem/HP NonStop platforms.
- In-depth knowledge of ISO 8583 and AS2805 message protocols, field definitions, and network-layer communication.
- Knowledge of settlement, clearing-file generation, reconciliation processing, and EOD batch execution.
- Proficiency with Postman for API testing, including environment setup, request chaining, mock servers, and Newman collection execution.
- Proficiency with Playwright and JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Java for automated test development.
- Familiarity with Android payment terminals, ISTQB or payments certifications, payment simulators, terminal-management interfaces, payment-gateway integrations, or AI-assisted test design is preferred.
